He then returned to his true hometown, having signed with Les Habitants in 2008-09, where he spent the last two years of his career. Toronto Maple Leafs	Alexander Karpovtsev	1999-2000	$450	Home white air-knit and mesh gamer by CCM was worn by Alexander Karpovtsev during the 1999-00 NHL playoffs. Alex spent parts of 6 seasons with the Rangers before a deal sent him to the Toronto Maple Leafs early in the 1998-99 season. After 2 years in Toronto and a year with Dynamo, Karpovtsev joined the Chicago Blackhawks and played in the Windy City for parts of 4 seasons. Alex played briefly for the Islanders and Panthers and ended his career back in Russia. Karpovtsev was serving as an assistant coach for the KHL’s Lokomotiv squad when he tragically lost his life on September 7th 2011 in a plane crash that killed 43 people including all of Yaroslavl Lokomotiv’s players and coaching staff. This is Karpovtsev’s last home Toronto Maple Leafs jersey. Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 2000 Toronto All Star game patch. Sewn just beneath is the year 2000 NHL patch. The patch that is on the back hem, is a plain blue patch that is a covering an old Bauer logo. The reason for this was the previous year (2002-03) this jersey was used as well and the Company that had the sponsorship rights was Bauer. The 2003-03 Season the Sponsorship went to CCM. So, the team covered over the Bauer logo with blue material and had sewn on a CCM patch over the Bauer logo on the left chest as well. The neck tag reads Bauer, size 56 Goalie Cut. Marty Ashley Pevey (born December 25, 1962 in Savannah, Georgia) is the manager for the Chicago Cubs Single A affiliate Peoria Chiefs and former third base coach for the Toronto Blue Jays Major League Baseball team. Pevey formerly managed the International League's Syracuse Sky Chiefs (AAA), the Eastern League's New Haven Ravens, (AA) and the Florida State League's Dunedin Blue Jays (High-A). These three teams are all affiliates of MLB's Toronto Blue Jays. Towards the end of the 2005 season, he was named Toronto's first base coach, replacing Ernie Whitt, who returned to the bench coach position after serving as both bench coach and first base coach for most of the season.
